KARLOFF Unreal Engine 3 / Destroyed Street / Preah Khan / Petra – Corinthian Tomb / The Rhetorical Value of Luminance

Petra – Corinthian Tomb is based off my interest in biblical archaeology. It is carved into the solid sandstone hills of Petra, in what is now Jordan.  Over time, the wind has wound it’s way in and out of the tomb, resulting in it’s organic reclamation.

The high res sculpt was done in ClayTools, which is similar to Mudbox. I also baked the normal and AO maps from ClayTools. The UDK vignette uses one Dominant Directional Light as the scene’s light source.

Tools used: ClayTools, 3ds max, Photoshop, UDK.
